Textured House Card

Hello.  Gail from the design team here today with a simple card using bright colours and some layers.

As soon as I saw the Time Out challenge picture I thought of these fun Textured Houses and the cute little daisy from Textured Flowers.  I started by drawing a line and stamping the small daisy with orange distress ink.  I water coloured with Mowed Lawn distress around all the daisies.  Then I needed some trees.......  OK, so they are mushrooms, but I think stamped with green distress they made pretty good trees LOL.  I stamped lots of the Textured Houses on card, coloured them with sharpies and cut them out.  Then I arranged them on my card.    Simple.  And even a few layers.

That frilly bit at the top??  Oh, that's what you get when you watercolour on paper and then try cutting it with a craft knife before it's dry!!  But I thought the ripped paper looked interesting so I added it as a feature to the top of my card.  I do hate to throw anything away.

Thanks for dropping by.
Our current challenge is LAYERS and you can join the fun here

Have you seen the new Rubber Dance web shop?  It's so pretty!!

Cute! That torn piece is super cool and I LOVE your mushroom trees! :) I guess we could all take a better look at what we already have and see if we might use our stamps for something completely different than for what they were originally intended.
Thanks, Gail! ♥
