Textured House Card

Image
Hello.  Gail from the design team here today with a simple card us ing bright colours and some layers . As soon as I saw the Time Out challenge picture I thought of these fun Textured Houses and the cute little daisy from Textured Flowers .  I started by drawing a line and stamping the small daisy with orange distress ink.  I water coloured with Mowed Lawn distress around all the daisies.  Then I needed some trees.......  OK, so they are mushrooms , but I think stamped with green distress they made pretty good trees LOL.  I stamped lots of the Textured Houses on card, coloured them with sharpies and cut them out.  Then I arranged them on my card.     Simple.  And even a few layers.   That frilly bit at the top??  Oh, that's what you get when you watercolour on paper and then try cutting it with a craft knife before it's dry!!  But I thought the ripped paper looked interesting so I added it as ...

Summer flowers in tissue paper

Image
Hello everyone, Susan here from Rubber Dance Stamps DT. I have used stamp set Mushrooms and I Love Leaves . I was inspired by Helen's video tutorials to use stamps in a new way. I have stamped on tissue paper, to get transparent petals - there is also the advantage that you can use the back. Once you've got leaves enough, you can put them together into a flower. I have used a stencil and a die to the tag. Gesso, paste, acrylic colors, beads, ribbon and a heart. On my balcony I have summer flowers in Rubber Dance June challenge colors! lol You can still participate in the challenge . Hugs, Susan

Hello this is Susan from Rubber Dance Design Team and here is my second post with an easy and particular mushroom card. Helen Allen and Rubber Dance Stamps have made a fine collaboration with video and stamp set. It's a really good video instruction with suggestions for sizes and material list on what project you can chose to make. The mushroom stamp set is very beautiful and it is only your imagination that sets limits. I have amused myself with this mushroom card. Photos of the front and inside of the card. The Mushroom stamp set and 10 video tutorials can be purchased both at Helen's Etsy Shop and on Rubber Dance Stamps website, and there are links to both below, There is also a link to Helen's intro video. 3 ATC's in Spring Color

Image
I have been inspired by the beautiful spring colors that are out in the wild and in this month's challenge. Mushrooms are amazing and tastes good. Remember to use the code susan2016 and get 15% off your purchase if you get the urge to buy the beautiful stamps that I have used here . I have made my own stamp with rubber bands wrapped around a piece of wood. It has been used for the grass in these ATCs, a method which I saw a blog post from England. As a start, I painted all ATCs with white gesso, then I used the stamp set  Collage Mix and Mushrooms with my chosen colors. I have used: the stamp set  Collage Mix and Mushrooms Paint On paper to the ATC's White gesso and sky acrylic paint from Dina Wakley Distress ink broken china, gathered twigs, black soot, peeled paint and scattered straw Words from the computer. I hope you have been inspired to participate in our spring challenge and I wish you a good day Hugs, Susan
