Mushroom Card by Dot

Hi everyone,

In an uncertain time it is good to keep doing what you love, when you can, like crafting.
And to remember to be as positive as possible.
So this card is all about expressing that thought.

The process was fun for this card.
And it is a nice easy one for you if you'ld like to give it a go.

This is from my stash of gelli-plate practice bits. Do you keep your trials too?
I've had it for over 2 years and thought it would work well with mushrooms.

The background is a little stenciling into a couple of corners.
The stamping uses stamps from Collage Elements and Gather Together.
As your collection of Rubber Dance stamps grows,
so will your collection of extra stamps
that are idea for adding a little interest to your backgrounds.

The mushrooms from Fun-gie Mushroom have been catching my eye for some time.
They look so realistic!
I've stamped a few of them out with Distress Oxides using my stamping platform.
It is easy to layer up your colours this way.
These aren't perfect by a long shot, but that makes them so much more realistic to look at.

And to finish you assemble all the pieces together.  I like to take a photo of it before I stick the parts down. This way I can shift things around before committing with glue.

For me, the mushrooms represent being kept in the dark ... but the word Smile (from Think Again) is about staying on top of things, keeping moving and not allowing yourself to become too overwhelmed if possible.

The stamps used are:

A quick reminder that there is still time to enter our

Wishing everyone all the best in the weeks ahead.
Stay safe.

and Happy Stamping!
