Easy and Simple Watercolour Artist Trading Cards by Susanne

Hi there!

Susanne here with a trio of watercolour ATCs. I used the lovely Carved Whimsy Wood stamps together with my Mijello Mission gold watercolours, Memento Inks and alcohol markers.


What I did:
I created the backgrounds with watercolours wet on wet. I used washi tape to frame every card before I painted it.
The lovely images are stamped with Memento inks, because I finished every card by colouring some areas with alcohol markers. Finally I added a Tim Holtz word sticker to every card.

CASology Challenge #213: Stitch - Card by Bibi

The cue word at the CASology challenge this week is STITCH, so without further ado - here's my card: Stamps used (all from Rubber Dance): Giraffe , Mannequin from Sew Sweet ,  X stitches from Stitch & Frame . Stamped with Archival Ink (coffee), coloured in with Distress inks (tea dye and mermaid lagoon). After all, fall/autumn is all around us (here in the north, anyway), and we do love its glorious colours! We hope you do, too, when you create an entry (or three) for our October Challenge: Did you know that "fall" is an Old English word? It replaced the word 'harvest' in the early 1600s as more people started moving into cities. City dwellers began to use the phrase 'fall of the leaf'' and, over time, the phrase was shortened to fall. Surprisingly, etymologists don’t know where the word "autumn" comes from. It was used as far back at the 1300s (by Chaucer), and Shakespeare often used the word, too. As English spread to the New World, the common season names split as well and today, American English uses the word fall while British English
