New page in my Happy Journal with Grungy Butterflies

Hello lovely Rubber Dancer, it´s Evelyn here today!
It´s time for a new page in my Happy Journal. This time I wanted to create a summery page with my beloved Grungy Butterflies.

I started by glueing down pieces of old book pages here and there, then I prepared my pages with a coat of white Gesso. When everything was dry, I used a stencil and Texture paste to create some texture and dimension.

I colored the background with prima artalchemy Metallique acrylic paints from Finnabair in Dark Velvet, Vintage Rose, Mermaid Teal and Emerald Green.
When everything was dry, I started with my background stamping. I used grey Archival ink and stamps from Rubber Dance: Vintage Script, the little stars are from the Merry Magpie stamp set.

Next I stamped some Grungy Butterflies with Versafine Clair Nocturno on specialty stamping paper, colored them with acrylic paint in magenta and metalique Mermaid Teal. When dry, I added some doodling with a white Posca pen and fuzzy cut them. The words are also from the Grungy Butterflies stamp set. I colored the paper first, stamped the sentiment and heat embossed it. I cut it to pieces and distressed the edges with black soot distress ink. I glued everything down and as a finishing touch I doodled around the pages with a grey fineliner and set some highlights with different pearl pens.

I hope you like my pages as much as I do and feel inspired to create something too!

Don't forget about our challenge, which goes until the end of the month. Play along, if you find time!
You'll find it in the Facebook Rubber Dance Stamping Lounge and its those three colors you see below or anything goes with Rubber Dance stamps.
