Mixed Media Card by Dot

Hello everyone,
I hope that everyone is staying creative
and managing to keep calm in this crazy old world of ours.

Today I've made a card for you with a mixed media twist.

This card uses some of my all-time favourite stamps.
Journal Words and Round In Circles.

Butterfly Girl #1 has been coloured with pencils and then fussy cut and edged with
some black to help her stand out.

There are heaps of words in the Journal Words set.
This allows you to play with them in many ways and
come up with your own sayings.
I've chosen to use "Believe In Your Dream"

A mixture of stamps from  Round In Circles have been stamped with white ink.
I love how it has a translucent look to it when it is dry.

The borders were hand-drawn and coloured with black fine-liner
and a white paint pen.

Flowers from the Loose Florals #1 set have been painted with water colours.
I like to use water colours in a rustic way.  Building up the layers of colour gradually.
There has been some white areas left on the flowers to fit in with the background.

To finish off the background there have been splatters of white
paint added.  The bigger the brush that you use, the bigger the splats.

Stamps Used Are:

How cute is she!

A reminder that we have a competition over on facebook
in the Rubber Dance Stamping Lounge.

Each month there is a new Mood Board to give you
a few ideas to help your creativity.
Here is the Mood Board for June.

How you interpret the Mood Board is completely in your hands.
We hope that you find some time to join in.

In the meantime,
thanks so much for stopping by.

Wishing you a crafty day!
