Simplicity Sunday - Card with Distress Oxides by Melina

Hi!

It´s Melina here today on Simplicity Sunday with a card to share with you.


A while ago I had a play with my Distress oxide inks and photo paper.
For todays project I used one of those backgrounds.
I stamped the Dreamcatcher using StazOn ink, and also stamped the 
sentiment from the Affirmations stamp set.
I then stamped a few of the small stamps and the word Dream from the 
Dreamcatcher stamp set using Distress Oxides again.
I drew a string for the dreamcatcher to hang from and a frame all around the edges
and my card was done.

CASology Challenge #213: Stitch - Card by Bibi

The cue word at the CASology challenge this week is STITCH, so without further ado - here's my card: Stamps used (all from Rubber Dance): Giraffe , Mannequin from Sew Sweet ,  X stitches from Stitch & Frame . Stamped with Archival Ink (coffee), coloured in with Distress inks (tea dye and mermaid lagoon). After all, fall/autumn is all around us (here in the north, anyway), and we do love its glorious colours! We hope you do, too, when you create an entry (or three) for our October Challenge: Did you know that "fall" is an Old English word? It replaced the word 'harvest' in the early 1600s as more people started moving into cities. City dwellers began to use the phrase 'fall of the leaf'' and, over time, the phrase was shortened to fall. Surprisingly, etymologists don’t know where the word "autumn" comes from. It was used as far back at the 1300s (by Chaucer), and Shakespeare often used the word, too.
