Technique Thursday - building the layers


Hello everyone Debs here with this week’s Technique inspiration, building simple layers on your journal page.


So I started with building up layers of paint and for more interest I used Old Book Page stamp in Blue.



Starting with Washi tape I start to add more layers



And then some fabric and an old tea bag, using Matt Medium.

Once completely dry I stamped my focal image, da Vinci Body Sketch



To finish I sprinkled a tiny amount of Infusions (powder pigment) to add to the vintage look.

CASology Challenge #213: Stitch - Card by Bibi

The cue word at the CASology challenge this week is STITCH, so without further ado - here's my card: Stamps used (all from Rubber Dance): Giraffe , Mannequin from Sew Sweet ,  X stitches from Stitch & Frame . Stamped with Archival Ink (coffee), coloured in with Distress inks (tea dye and mermaid lagoon). Rubber Dance Stamp Challenge - October

After all, fall/autumn is all around us (here in the north, anyway), and we do love its glorious colours! We hope you do, too, when you create an entry (or three) for our October Challenge: Did you know that "fall" is an Old English word? It replaced the word 'harvest' in the early 1600s as more people started moving into cities. City dwellers began to use the phrase 'fall of the leaf'' and, over time, the phrase was shortened to fall. Surprisingly, etymologists don’t know where the word "autumn" comes from. It was used as far back at the 1300s (by Chaucer), and Shakespeare often used the word, too. As English spread to the New World, the common season names split as well and today, American English uses the word fall while British English
