Humming Greetings Cards


Hi everyone! Here is the second batch of artwork made by guest designer Ellie Knol.

For these cards, Ellie has used the humming bird stamp from our set called Vintage Birds and the stamp called Vintage Script. The backgrounds are either photos or part of greeting cards - such a clever way to make a beautiful background!



Stamp the bird, and color it with a watercolor pencil to coordinate with the background. Cut the bird out and color the edges with a dark color to make it pop. Adhere bird to card with pop-dots for more depth.



Ellie used the Vintage Script stamp on all the cards to add interest.


On this card,  Ellie used some vellum between the card and the bird.
You can still see the stamped script on the cardstock  through it.

Rubber Dance June Challenge

Atc´s Textured Birds by Verónica

Hi everyone, Verónica is here. Today I come with a colorful and fun series of Atc´s that I have made with the beautiful  Textured Birds set .  Let's go step by step, so you can cheer up and make your own.I hope you enjoy it and you like it, it is done with great affection. We cut watercolor paper that measures 3 1/2 inches by 2 1/2 inches, if you prefer in centimeters 8,9cm by 6,4 cm approximately. Now we create the backgrounds by coloring with watercolors, pigments, or inks. I have used pigments dissolved in water, to give it a watercolor effect. When they are ready and dry we apply textured paste with some stencils that we like. In my case Distress Textured Paste (crackle). We can use the embossing gun to speed up the process or let it dry. We continue, we are going to stamp these adorable and cute little birds with a waterproof ink. Always Sparkle - Envelope Book Tutorial by Sue

Good afternoon and happy Saturday, welcome to the weekend! It's Sue here with my envelope book. Making your own books and journals is very popular at the moment, and I wanted to have a go. I also wanted to use supplies that I had already as it's just after Christmas and I'm already in 2022's craft budget. So I have quite a few of these -  Colour Craft lustre paints. Loads of these - rather posh DL pearlised envelopes. I bought a box full in a closing down sale, so have a box full less 3! And these, my favourite bright StazOn inks. So to work (well play really, I'm making it all up as I go along) I started by painting my envelopes with the paints, then added some stencilling in a contrasting colour. I've used totally different colours so that I've got a choice of colours for my toppers. I've used metallics on this one and they are really nice! For the 'in between
