Mr Frosty Has Come To Play by Dot

Hi everyone,
Mr Frosty has come out to play and I think he is getting up to mischief.
He is such a fun snowman.

This is a quick and easy card to make, I'll show you how.

The background is a simple one made by swiping your card
through some Distress Ink on your craft sheet.
Dabbing the card into any left over droplets adds more interest.

My gelli plate was used for this next bit.
Again, Distress Inks were used.
When you spray a little water onto the gelli plate before stamping with it, it
takes away all those little spotty marks that Distress Ink can leave and gives it a lovely watery effect.

The snowflakes on the Whimsical Winter set has three different sizes.
The medium one was used here to add some wintry effects with Distress Oxides.

And then there is Mr Frosty!
He has been sparingly coloured with water colour pencils and cut out.
Only one arm has been cut out as it will give a more 3D effect when placed onto the card.

Some snow drifts were added by using torn paper and ink.
Then Mr Frosty was stamped.
It doesn't really matter which order you do these two steps in.

To finish the card the larger snowflake from Whimsical Winter was used on the background card.
The snowballs from the same set have been added also.
The large circle started looking like a giant snowball to me, so the little ones were added go with it.
The word "believe" is from Journal Words and was an ideal size for this card.
Do you believe that Mr Frosty is up to mischief?
Who has he got is his sights for a good old-fashioned snowball fight?

A reminder that the challenge for this month, over on facebook, is underway.

My inspiration for today's card has came from the colours and the icy-ness of the pics.
What is your inspiration from the mood board?

I hope you enjoyed the tutorial.

Happy Stamping!
