Frosty Friends Winter Cards with Dunja

Image
Have a nice week start Rubber Dance friends! Today I have made winterly cards for you. Building a snowman, in November? That will definitely work. So here in Germany, where I live, not yet ;-) The backgrounds are Gellliprints, which I made with a snowflake stencil, embossing paste and embossing powder. I've used two different powders, one is a sparkling snow and the other one is called white puff, the Snowflakes look awesome with that powder :) Thanks a lot for stopping by and do not forget to join our Rubber Dance Stampinglounge, if you're not already there ;-) Take care and stay safe! Mr Frosty Has Come To Play by Dot

Hi everyone, Mr Frosty has come out to play and I think he is getting up to mischief. He is such a fun snowman. This is a quick and easy card to make, I'll show you how. The background is a simple one made by swiping your card through some Distress Ink on your craft sheet. Dabbing the card into any left over droplets adds more interest. My gelli plate was used for this next bit. Again, Distress Inks were used. When you spray a little water onto the gelli plate before stamping with it, it takes away all those little spotty marks that Distress Ink can leave and gives it a lovely watery effect. The snowflakes on the Whimsical Winter set has three different sizes. The medium one was used here to add some wintry effects with Distress Oxides. And then there is Mr Frosty ! He has been sparingly coloured with water colour pencils and cut out. Only one arm has been cut out as it will give a more 3D effect when placed onto the card. Some...

Quick and Easy Christmas Card and Tag

Image
Hello.  Welcome.  Gail from the design team here today with a simple card and tag.  It's always great to have a card you can easily make when time is short.  I used Mr Frosty and one of the small snow stamps from Watercolour Xmas and made a simple winter wonderland. I stamped the background with Stormy Sky distress ink and the snow stamp.  I stamped Mr Frosty on a piece of white card and fussy cut him.  I could have stamped and masked him, for a one layer card, but I like how the extra layer makes him stand out from the background. Quick and easy, so I made a matching tag. The sentiments are from Norwegian Christmas .  The card says wishing you a lovely christmas.  The tag says don't open before christmas eve, which is when we open our presents here in Norway LOL.  This is my last post this year here at the Rubber Dance blog so I would like to take this opportunity to wish you a very Happy Christmas and hope to see you ...
