Terrific Teabags
Hi everyone,
Donna with you today sharing a card featuring stamping on teabags...great fun :)
I steeped the teabags in hot water for a few minutes, squeezed them out, cut them open and then left them to dry overnight. Once they were dry I removed all the tealeaves to just leave the empty bag. You can re use any teabags but I wouldn't use any that you have had in a cup with milk or sugar.
I wanted to keep a nature theme to the whole card so I used some stamps from the sets Weed Love, A Little Birdie, Antique Botanicals and stamped them directly onto the teabags using black Archival ink and then added some doodling with a white Posca pen. You'd be amazed by how easy it is to stamp on the teabags and what a clear impression you get too.
Once that was done, I started adding all the other little bits and pieces including Tim Holtz paperie, washi tape, coconut buttons and a little twig. You can have a little look through your own stashes and see what you have of course.
Adhere everything to the 5x7 cardstock and there you have a nature inspired card using recycled items which I absolutely love to do.

Fantastic idea and card, natural and beautiful, I love this!! xx
The round tea bags I have never seen before, they are wonderful for your stamping of nature items, and the stick to hang them from a very lovely idea. The stamps are also so pretty and sweet , and the wonderful color of tea behind them , the little white adds, all speaks to my heart!! You create such beauty !!!
