  Hello Rubber Dance friends. Gail here today.  Gosh, September is whizzing by and it's starting to feel a bit autumnal in my part of the world.   We have a yummy moodboard this month with lovely colours.  You can be inspired by anything on the moodboard; one or more colours, things, shapes, memories it inspires, things it makes you feel, etc. etc..  It's basically anything goes, but in case you need a little help to get started Dunja has put together this awesome inspiration for you.  Hi everyone, welcome to the Rubber Dance blog. Today my card uses a dove from the 'A Little Birdie' stamp set. It's in stark contrast to the weather outside at the moment! We have hail, gail force winds and lots of rain. Nature is trying to throw everything at us at the moment lol. So naturally my mind went to something a little calmer. The circle is made using distress inks on a gel plate, using colours from our Mood Board this month. The combination of yellows and browns are one that works so  beautifully together. Here are a couple of close ups for you. The flowers and leaves from Loose Florals #1 are used to create a pretty border around the circle. The little circles are from Whale Wishes! As always, the Rubber Dance stamp sets always have so many extra little elements that can be used in many ways. They've been coloured with H2O's for a little shimmer. Hi everyone, It's Dot here today to share a card with you that I really enjoyed making. The Mood Board for this month has been my inspiration.  I've used one of the colours and the birds as inspiration. Are you ready to have a go at making this?  Here we go ... Step 1:  You need   a stamping platform for this step.  Ink and stamp out the largest leaf with some brown and green oxides until you are happy with the colours.  Leave the middle un-inked so that you can pop an image in there. Step 2:   Next, a couple of masks are needed. The first mask that you need is where you cut the leaf in one piece, about 2 mm  larger than the stamped image itself. As in the pic above. This gives you a negative mask. Then cut out a separate, normal mask.  Simply stamp the image and fussy cut the image about 2 mm in from the outer edge. Hi everyone, It's so hard to choose which stamp to play with sometimes, but today the elephant from 'African Animals'  has joined us for a bit of fun. This card started as the elephant being stamped onto some card that had been swiped through Distress Ink on my craft sheet and then cut out.  Then I needed to stop and think about it.  He is walking slowly so I've sent him on a journey. The background is just a little bit of ink on an acrylic block with some mountains/hills added in using more ink and some torn paper. The words from the  Think Again  stamp set. And to finish the journey theme I've added some birds from 'A Little Birdie' . The colours are from our current challenge over on facebook in the Rubber Dance Stamping Lounge. Hi everyone, It's Donna here today creating a colourful tag for you...I must be wishing for Spring already I think! I used a size 8 manila  tag  and swooshed it through some  Distress Oxides  that I had already diluted on my craft mat with a spritz of water. I stuck to the pink, green and orange palette for this to create a muted background. I then used a feather stamp from the  Textured Feathers  set, stamping with a blue Distress Oxide as I just wanted some subtle stamping in the background. I then added further stamping in black with a mixture of stamps from  Weed Love  and  A Little Birdie . I then used a sheet of  Strathmore Mixed Media  paper to stamp some more images from  A Little Birdie  and some flowers from the  Textured Flowers  set. I coloured these in with my Zig Clean Colour pens, then fussy cut them out to adhere to the tag. I then added the sentiment from  A Little Birdie ...

Hi everyone, Donna with you today sharing a card featuring stamping on teabags...great fun :) I steeped the teabags in hot water for a few minutes, squeezed them out, cut them open and then left them to dry overnight. Once they were dry I removed all the tealeaves to just leave the empty bag. You can re use any teabags but I wouldn't use any that you have had in a cup with milk or sugar. I wanted to keep a nature theme to the whole card so I used some stamps from the sets  Weed Love ,  A Little Birdie ,  Antique Botanicals  and stamped them directly onto the teabags using black  Archival ink  and then added some doodling with a white  Posca pen . You'd be amazed by how easy it is to stamp on the teabags and what a clear impression you get too. Once that was done, I started adding all the other little bits and pieces including  Tim Holtz paperie , washi tape, coconut buttons and a little twig. You can have a little look through your ow...

I've been so inspired by the beautiful tags that I see that I've decided to turn my new journal book (it's only a small one) into a tag book.  The idea is to have a journal of new ideas and different techniques without having to make a major project. And there is no time like the present to start it off.  My inspiration for this tag comes through the Butterfly Trio stamp set. I love how there are the different sizes and you can colour them any way that you want to. The background is made after watching a you-tube video by Melina Dahl on using the Gelli-plate with Distress Oxides. (thanks Melina) The butterflies were simply stamped onto a scrap piece of Distress Oxide background and cut out. A little extra stamping with oxides using the Round In Circles , A Little Birdie and Merry Magpie finished off the background.
