Very vintage !

Hi, it's Liesbeth here, my second time as a guest-designer!  I'd like to show you two tags I made using the wonderful stamp set Travel. I really love the very vintage look of this stamps !




I started by stamping the couple with black StazOn ink and masked the image. I stamped Venice, London and the watch using Distress ink Vintage Photo, and some fragments of the bill and the word Souvenir with black StazOn. I painted the faces of the couple with Distress ink Tattered Rose and some water, their clothes and the background with Vintage photo and some water. I sponged the edges of the intire tag with Vintage photo, and added different pieces of tissue tape . I finished by sponging a bit of black at the edges, and glueing the tag onto a black one.


The second tag is made exactly the same way, with some other different stamps from the set ,Travel'.

CASology Challenge #213: Stitch - Card by Bibi

The cue word at the CASology challenge this week is STITCH, so without further ado - here's my card: Stamps used (all from Rubber Dance): Giraffe , Mannequin from Sew Sweet ,  X stitches from Stitch & Frame . Stamped with Archival Ink (coffee), coloured in with Distress inks (tea dye and mermaid lagoon). After all, fall/autumn is all around us (here in the north, anyway), and we do love its glorious colours! We hope you do, too, when you create an entry (or three) for our October Challenge: Did you know that "fall" is an Old English word? It replaced the word 'harvest' in the early 1600s as more people started moving into cities. City dwellers began to use the phrase 'fall of the leaf'' and, over time, the phrase was shortened to fall. Surprisingly, etymologists don’t know where the word "autumn" comes from. It was used as far back at the 1300s (by Chaucer), and Shakespeare often used the word, too. As English spread to the New World, the common season names split as well and today, American English uses the word fall while British English
