Summer Flowers

Hello Rubber Dance friends.  Gail here today with a summery flowery card using the challenge colours of blue, green and persimmon.


I used stamps from Bold and Beautiful, Happy Birthday, and the Violinist


I started by stamping my card base with Salty Ocean and Twisted Citron distress ink pads.  


Then I stamped the large and small Chrysanthemum stamps from the Bold and Beautiful set all over the card using Salty Ocean distress ink.
I stamped the Violinist with black archival ink.


I cut three tags.  Coloured two with Salty Ocean and one with Ripe Persimmon, stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment and used a pretty flower brad to attach them to my card.

 Our monthly challenges are now based in our FB fan group.  The colours for the June challenge are Ocean Blue, Green and Ripe Persimmon and/or you can go for the Anything Goes theme.  Link up your makes using the colours and/or anything goes using Rubber Dance stamps and you might be the lucky grab bag winner.

Blog Hoppin' Superpowers

Rubber Dance has gained a following of stampers that love our Sarcasm Superpowers sentiment stamps. These aren't exactly our best seller stamps (not very surprisingly), but if you love them, you'll LOVE them! And this particular group of followers certainly do - not very surprisingly at all with a group name like theirs .... namely the  Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers! (I know, right? Too darn cute!) These fine ladies have bullied me and some of my designers into a blog hop featuring our Sarcasm Superpower stamps. It didn't take much persuation, nor any bribes to speak of. Altered Chipboard Butterfly + Giveaway

Bibi here today with a fun project, using the Totem Monarch Poppet chipboard from EyeConnect Crafts . I had such a blast with this and I hope what I've made will inspire you to make something similar. The difference between the chipboards from EyeConnect Crafts and others ones I've seen out there, is that they are made to connect (hence the name). There are two categories, one called Lace-Ups which you bind together using ribbons, string, lace, etcetera and another category of chipboards with smaller holes so you can connect the pieces using tiny eyelets or brads. This is what it looks like. The pieces are laser cut, and you easily remove them from the base - save that part and use it as a stencil for another project. Tutorial Tuesday - A Mini Album by Sue

Good morning and happy Tuesday, it's Sue here with my tutorial for my very easy to make mini album. Here's the front and here's the back.   I started by cutting the pages for my album. I've used the Eileen Hull passport die as I think this is a fab size. Plenty of room for your images but not so big as to be intimidating. I've used chipboard for my covers, and a mixture of black, white, and watercolour card for the pages.   I've used canvas for the binding as this is really tough and flexible. I've inked it up with Distress Inks just using the primary colours, that way where they meet they will make new colours and not mud. I know you probably know this but it took me years of mud before I really got it!   Just look at the size of this Music  stamp, it's a real whopper!
