Art Journal Page with the Da Vinci Body Sketch by Evelyn

Image
Hello lovely Rubber Dancer, it´s Evelyn today with my second piece this month. I made the next double page in my little Happy Journal, this time I used the stamps Da Vinci Body Sketch , Mix a Sentiment and Think Again stamp set. I colored the background with the Jane Davenport Mermaid Markers, white Gesso and finnabair Mica Powder Gold. I stamped very lightly a sentiment stamp in black from the Think Again stamp set and into the dark parts with white ink the Mix a Sentiment stamp. I love how it turned out! Then I stamped the Da Vinci Body Sketch and heat embossed it white, and the sentiment I heat embossed it black. Here you can see the golden shimmer from the mica powder a little bit better - really hard to photograph. That´s it for today, I hope you liked my little pages as much as I do! Now it´s your turn! Don't forget about our challenge, which goes until the end of the month. Play along, if you find time! You'll find it in the  Facebook...

Technique Thursday - building the layers

Image
Hello everyone Debs here with this week’s Technique inspiration, building simple layers on your journal page. So I started with building up layers of paint and for more interest I used Old Book Page stamp in Blue. Starting with Washi tape I start to add more layers And then some fabric and an old tea bag, using Matt Medium. Once completely dry I stamped my focal image, da Vinci Body Sketch To finish I sprinkled a tiny amount of Infusions (powder pigment) to add to the vintage look. Let’s have a last look All the fabulous stamps can be purchased from the shop That’s all from me Take care hugsxx

Simplicity Sunday - A Simple Tag by Donna Gray

Hi everyone, It's Donna with you today to show you how to make this simple tag with only 3 stamps ;) I took a size 8 manilia tag and swooshed it through some diluted Distress Oxides on my craft mat (I used a brown, orange and grey). After it was dried thoroughly I then used some more brown Distress Oxide and a  That's Crafty! Mini Stencil  to create the cogs effect you see. I just wanted it to be subtle and not over power the main stamping. Next step was to use this wonderful stamp called  da Vinci Body Sketch  and stamp it directly on the tag with black Archival ink. I added a little shading around her with a grey Zig Clean Colour pen but nothing else as I wanted the background to show through her making her almost transparent. I then took the little heart that hangs from the tree in   Whimsical Summer , coloured it with a red pen and adhere it to the stamped figure. Then using a dots stamp from the  Textured Feathers  set I stamped t...
