Spring Flowers by Dot Leathbridge

It is Spring in my part of the world and was the inspiration for this card.
The strip of colour was made using torn copy paper, attaching it to the card and then applying some colour with Distress Oxides.
The flower is from the Textured Spring stamp set, with extra detail added from the Weed Love set.
Little extra colourful stars are from Merry Magpie.  This set has so many little gems in it that can be mixed and matched with any of the other stamps.
And the sentiment is from Beautiful You.

I have a friend going into hospital soon for an operation so I think this will be the perfect card to lift her spirits.

The flower is painted with watered-down Distress Oxides. I love how they are so opaque.
These stamps are so easy to colour!

The Weed Love stamp was stamped in multiple oxide colours that match the background strip.

Rubber Dance stamps that I've used are:
Textured Spring
Merry Magpie
Weed Love
Beautiful You

If you are in colder areas of the world, then I hope this card brings a reminder of what is to come once the cold and ice clears away.

Thanks for taking the time to look,
Dot x

Gorgeous card, Dot! Love the colourful strip with torn edges made directly on the card, and how you matched the colours on the small flowers. Enjoy the spring - it's such a lovely season. Perhaps we will see some summer cards from you soon? I love flower cards any time of the year! Thanks for sharing your beautiful card with us! ♥ ♥ ♥

Thanks Bibi - we have whales popping into the bay each week at the moment. I can see them from the windows at work! Maybe I'll get around to making something with the Whale Wishes set :)
Brilliant stamping Dot, beautiful card!!

Beautiful card, Dot! I love the colourful strip in the middle and the spring stamp set is so beautiful.
Funny that you have spring and soon summer where you live and I have autumn and soon winter in my part of the Word.
