Card with This Is Me by Gail

Image
Hello Rubber Dance friends.  Gail here with a card I made and sent to a friend in Illinois as part of the Card Chain Challenge.  This is an international card exchange I help run and this month I made my card using beautiful Rubber Dance stamps. I started with a patterned card base.  I stamped all over with the thin pointy leaf from Things With Wings using Taylored Expression Cookie Monster ink.  I stamped the girl on a scrap of pink pearlescent paper and a scrap of yellow vellum.  I fussy cut the girl and then just her hair from the yellow vellum, layered them together and added a little green gel pen colour to her eyes.  I used black archival to stamp the lovely sentiment . Thanks for dropping by.  Take care.  Be safe.  Hugz

Believe in Yourself Mixed Media Card

Good Day All,  I'm Suzi and it's my honour to be Guest Designer for the month of May.  I'm super excited to share with you my first project using the gorgeous Beautiful You Stamp set . Here's my card Here's how I made it; First of all I created my background paper, using some texture plates, wax resist crayons and Inktense Blocks Once my background was dry, I selected an area I liked and trimmed it down to fit a 5 x 7 in card front, I trimmed it to 4 1/2 x 6 1/2 as I wanted to add a layer of coloured card between this and the card blank. I stamped my image using Midnight Blue Stazon Ink Then I coloured my image with Inktense Pencils Next I decided to add some contrast to the background paper, stamping the sentiment a few times, and adding some stripes of ink across the center of the card I layered my background onto some dark orange card stock and added some cotton thread around the center for added texture. I in...

Two Journal Spreads

Image
Hello Everyone, Shilpa here, I have two journal spreads to share with you today!! This is very easy-peasy journal spread. I worked on watercolor paper here.  For the background, I used two different shades of yellow!!  On another white paper, I stamped beautiful butterflies from Butterfly Trio stamp set. I colored them with watercolors. Fussy cut them and adhered on the background.  Further on the background, I stamped these cute flowers from Beautiful You stamp set. I also stamped sentiments from same Beautiful you stamp set. This journal spread background is created with lots of layers acrylic paints, inks, stencils and Rubber Dance stamps.  I have used one of my favorite Da Vinci Woman #3 stamp. I had stamped her image on circle card stock colored her and glued on the surface. "Believe you can.. Fly" sentiment is from Rubber Dance " Affirmations " stamp set. Working in my art journals with colors and stamps al...

Art Journal inspiration

Hello Everyone Debs here today to share a page in my small journal. It’s a double page spread this time, which is unusual for me as I like to stick to one page, as I find stamping across two can be difficult, although not impossible. Please join me on my  blog  to get the details of how I created this spread. Stamps I used  Beautiful You Blossoming Rose Take care everyone  Hugsxx

Spring Flowers by Dot Leathbridge

Image
It is Spring in my part of the world and was the inspiration for this card. The strip of colour was made using torn copy paper, attaching it to the card and then applying some colour with Distress Oxides. The flower is from the Textured Spring  stamp set, with extra detail added from the Weed Love set. Little extra colourful stars are from Merry Magpie .  This set has so many little gems in it that can be mixed and matched with any of the other stamps. And the sentiment is from Beautiful You . I have a friend going into hospital soon for an operation so I think this will be the perfect card to lift her spirits. The flower is painted with watered-down Distress Oxides. I love how they are so opaque.   These stamps are so easy to colour! The Weed Love stamp was stamped in multiple oxide colours that match the background strip. Rubber Dance stamps that I've used are: Textured Spring Merry Magpie Weed Love Beautiful You If you are...
