Vintage Collage Art Journal

Hello Everyone,
Shilpa here,

I would like to share with you this vintage journal page for which I've used lots of Rubber Dance stamps:

To start with, I stamped all images with black archival ink.

To make the paper vintage,
  • I applied Paynes grey, Transparent yellow Iron oxide and Quiacridone Gold acrylic paints- all mixed with lots of water.
  • When it was wet, I sprinkled salt onto it.
  • Let it dry naturally
( Originally this technique is shared by Andy Skinner in his YouTube video here)

After paper was completely dry, I removed the salt and I got this old paper look.
I used the same technique on all the other images.

I cut out all the images and created a collage on Burlap page of my journal.

For more interest I added fabric flowers, doilies and wooden buttons.

Lastly I adhered the image of the Nostalgic Couple and black lace trim.

I love the way it turned out...
