A kraft tag full of colours

Hello and welcome, Anita from the Design Team here today to show you a tag I made.

I did this tag just because I want to experiment with my new toys, Distress Oxide. I am SO in love with the Oxide! You can use them in so many ways and the result is absolutely brilliant every time. I've used them even to stamp with and the image is so nice and powerful and creamy.

So here is the tag:

I started with a kraft tag and my new toys

I smeared some ink down on my craft mat and sprayed with water, then I used my paint brush and make some splatters. I took one and a colour and dried between so the colour not smear together and made mud

I stamped make art and free yourself with Distress Oxide on kraft card stock and cut them out

I stamped the paint tubes with Distress Oxide on a black tag

I used the Distress Ink Valnut stains around the edges on the tag

I stamped the giraffe with Distress Oxide, cut him out and glued him down

I used glue pads to glue down the black tag and I used coffee soaked cloth behind it

I'm very satisfied with the result and I hope I inspired you to play with colours and stamps, it is very relaxing.

All the stamps I've used on this project you can find in Rubber Dance's online store.

Thank you for visiting!

Hugs, Anita

This is lovely. I had decided I wasn't going to buy these cos I am happy with my distress inks and how many ink pads does one girl need? Unfortunately I've seen a few demo's of these and am coming to the conclusion that maybe a girl may need a few more ink pads LOL. I love how the colours show on the kraft and black. The paint tubes look lovely pastel against the black and giraffe looks very happy against the splatter background. Thanks for this great project and tutorial. Hugz
