Altered Journal Cover by Shilpa

Hello Everyone,
Shilpa here,

If you know me, I am a Journal Junkie. I love to keep different types and sizes of journals and fill them with colours and texture.

Here is the one I started recently and the regular cover was bothering me. 
So I decided to alter it using Rubber Dance stamps.


I've created the background using design paper and watercolours.
And those beautiful flower stamps are from Susanne Rose designed Textured Flowers stamp set.
I stamped them on watercolour paper and coloured with Zig markers.

CASology Challenge #213: Stitch - Card by Bibi

The cue word at the CASology challenge this week is STITCH, so without further ado - here's my card: Stamps used (all from Rubber Dance): Giraffe , Mannequin from Sew Sweet ,  X stitches from Stitch & Frame . Stamped with Archival Ink (coffee), coloured in with Distress inks (tea dye and mermaid lagoon). After all, fall/autumn is all around us (here in the north, anyway), and we do love its glorious colours! We hope you do, too, when you create an entry (or three) for our October Challenge: Did you know that "fall" is an Old English word? It replaced the word 'harvest' in the early 1600s as more people started moving into cities. City dwellers began to use the phrase 'fall of the leaf'' and, over time, the phrase was shortened to fall. Surprisingly, etymologists don’t know where the word "autumn" comes from.
