Dunja's 7th Blog Anniversary & Giveaway


Helloooo everyone! It's Bibi here today with a little something I made for my friend Dunja's blog anniversary. When she asked if I'd like to join the celebration, I said YES right away of course!
♥ Happy Blog Birthday, Dunja! ♥

 Dunja has been blogging for seven years now and she's throwing a big blog party over at her blog today. There's a blog hop, giveaway and challenge all in one! Whoop-whoop! 

 I am sure many of you know who Dunja is, but if not she's the one who runs the company called Cards und More, and that's how I met Dunja. After I had placed my first order there we started talking and we've been friends and mutual blog followers since.  Dunja is such a sweet person and very talented crafter, and her shop.... gaaawd, I loooove her shop! So many cool things all in one place. (Excuse me if I just drooled a little bit ...)

 Now, back to her blog anniversary. You will find all the details over on Dunja's blog, but first let me share the moodboard she gave to seven of her friends, and my take on it below ...
And here's what I made. Of course it had to be related to the sea since I'm such a beach bum! :-)

Let's throw Dunja a fun beach party!


This must be Dunja with glitter in her hair :-)

More glitter. Gotta have glitter!

Background build up with torn pieces of cardstock and crumbled copy paper. 
Stenciled numbers. Overstamped with Grunge Swirls.
  
I stamped several shells into polymer clay and painted them after baking.

CASology Challenge #213: Stitch - Card by Bibi

The cue word at the CASology challenge this week is STITCH, so without further ado - here's my card: Stamps used (all from Rubber Dance): Giraffe , Mannequin from Sew Sweet ,  X stitches from Stitch & Frame . Stamped with Archival Ink (coffee), coloured in with Distress inks (tea dye and mermaid lagoon). After all, fall/autumn is all around us (here in the north, anyway), and we do love its glorious colours! We hope you do, too, when you create an entry (or three) for our October Challenge: Did you know that "fall" is an Old English word? It replaced the word 'harvest' in the early 1600s as more people started moving into cities. City dwellers began to use the phrase 'fall of the leaf'' and, over time, the phrase was shortened to fall. Surprisingly, etymologists don’t know where the word "autumn" comes from. It was used as far back at the 1300s (by Chaucer), and Shakespeare often used the word, too.
