Love takes us home: Art Pages by Irit

Hello my dear crafty friends! Irit is here and I welcome you  to my new art journal double paged spread made with A LOT of Rubber Dance stamps, but also with self made stencil, lots of mediums  and a lot of free hand doodling too.
It's almost impossible to make a tutorial about art pages; so I  just explain the working process and will give you some tips about this page.

First I picked the theme and it was Home. Then I found the saying that said "Life takes us to unexpected places, but Love takes us  home". From now on I picked colors (just black-grey and yellow) and home connected things. I made brick wall with texture paste and heat embossing with clear embossing powder. I was looking for  stencils with houses and didn't find any in my stash, So I die cut the very old Sizzix die strip with sky line and made my own stencil, the one that cross both pages in the middle. I outlined the houses with black pen and made a white paint circle over one house that was picked as the " HOME". That house was also stamped over with a heart Rubber Dance stamp from the set I Heart Art.

Different stamped words (Rubber Dance A little Birdie) were stamped over the skyline and the last word there is Love (that takes us home). Some background Rubber Dance stamps were widely used over the page, such as Mesh from the New Retro Beach set, Splashes from the Funny Birthday set, numbers from ATC Backgrounds 1, the Diamonds background, Old compass from Travel set  to show us the way, and the Love always sentiment stamp.

As the final part I added the chipboard title on the right page and a lot of yellow mists around.

I really hope I inspired you to make your own art pages with a lot of gorgeous Rubber Dance stamps.

Thanks for stopping by!

Thank you, Irit! This is such an interesting art journal spread with lots of details. Love the texture you made with that brick wall stencil! Great combination of so many different stamps :-)
Beautiful pages Irit, great stamping and awesome color combo.
This page of yours was very interesting. I liked the way you have built up your page, and that everything belonged together but nevertheless there were many details to spot :-)

Dear me Irit - you really used a lot of stamps... so fun! Your home must be in the city - love how you did your skyline. There is just so much to see - I find something different every time I go back to take another look. Very special sentiment. Thanks bunches for such a fun inspiration. j.
