Ellie Knol Mixed Media Cards
Hi everyone! Ellie Knol gladly accepted my invitation to guest design, and today I want to show you some beautiful cards she made using stamps from the set called Vintage Birds, and the background stamp called Vintage Script. I think these cards are really cool and I hope you will like them as much as I do!
A closer look at some details:
Ellie also made this beautiful ATC!
Feather stamped with various colors of Distress inks. Backround is sponged with Distress inks (partially with stencils). Stamped script in the background to add interest.
And last, but not least, this adorable card with eggs in a nest:
Splatter some water onto cardstock and spray glimmermist onto this partially wet cardstock. Leave to dry. Stamp the eggs on a seperate piece of cardstock, cut them out. Color it with distress inks and/or watercolor pencils. Stamp the ‘nest’ with stamps as shown. Sponge the edges of the background with coordinating colors. Stamp the script as shown. Adhere the eggs to the background with 3D tape. Add some white and black accents with marker. Distress the edges of the background, adhere to a postcard and doodle around the edges of the background with a black marker.
Thank you, Ellie! I absolutely love your cards and I think the details, such as the script in the back and the doodle around the edges on the last one, give the cards that extra umph that make them stand out even more.
