Rubber Dance Art Stamps - Blog

 Hello arty friends, how are you all?  We really are hurtling towards Christmas, aren't we? I have made a couple of Christmas cards this time, I'm trying to be very organised this year. First I stamped theses lovely Poinsettias onto red and green scrapbook paper, book pages and ledger paper. I have some lovely old ledger paper that I used for these cards, both for the background and some of the images. I cut out the stamped images (I ended up with a good supply so that I can make more cards). I cut some squares from the ledger paper for the backgrounds and then glued the flowers and leaves onto them. Next I matted these onto some coloured card, glued them onto my card blanks and added some Tim Holtz Christmas Quote sticker. Now I'm off to make more!  Please excuse the poor picture quality this time, the weather has been absolutely awful here and it's almost impossible to find some good light! Hello Rubber Dance Friends, wrapping presents for Christmas is always a nice task, isn't it?  If you then have a beautiful tag, it makes it twice as much fun. For the one who wraps it and for the one who unwraps it and enjoys it. I have experimented a little here. I punched out Gellprints in a circle and then placed them along with a few gold flakes. I put all this through the laminator. Then I cut it out. The poinsettia flowers are gold embossed and sewn on. Hello everyone, it's Dunja here today and i'm sharing two little christmas things with you.  You can't have enough little Christmas tags, can you? Something here and there that's quick too. I have a Christmas bauble and a tag for you here. I also used the stamps from the Textured Christmas Green set. The poinsettias are wonderful. Do you love them too? I embossed the motifs, stamped them on a gel print and cut them out. You can also use leftovers very well. Here I used a paper that was created in the gel print. I made it as an intermediate layer for the ball and sewed it on for the tag. I hope I could inspire you to create little Christmas accessories. Happy crafting! Hello, Samantha here today and I'm so excited to be sharing this Christmas creation with you, I know it's not Christmas for a while yet but I received some new Rubber Dance stamps and I just couldn't wait to play with them, Watercolour Xmas is a stamp set that had been on my list for Santa for a long time, it's a wonderful set that has lots of baubles and bauble decorations for you to mix and match and also some very elegant sentiments too. For this Christmas decoration I've combined six stamp sets, I just love how well they work together. I began with a piece of cardboard measuring 8in x 8 in, I peeled off some of the top layer in places to reveal the lumpy layer, I cut it completely at 2.5 inches and used a hole punch to add the holes as shown. Then I added a coat of white gesso. Hello, Samantha here today and I'd like to share with you a wreath, it's made using bits of driftwood so it's a versatile project as it could be a year round home decor item depending on how you decorate, considering it's driftwood the Textured Sea Creatures stamp set would be an excellent project. Back to Christmas.... I simply lay out my sticks around a paint pot to get the center and adhered using a glue gun. I then flipped it over and had lots of fun, painting and adding sparkly happiness. I stamped the tree from Textured Christmas Trees and holly from Textured Christmas Green and coloured them using watercolours before cutting and adhering in place. The snowflakes are parts of a Sizzix die, there are silver, sequin stars, sticky gems, glitter glue, splats of silver paint and glossy accents. I do hope you like it, thank you for looking. Hello Rubber Dance friends.  I hope your Christmas preparations are going well, if it is a festival you celebrate.   Gail here today and I want to share a sparkly tag.  We all need a little sparkle in our lives.       For my tag I have used stamps from Frosty Friends , Pines Fir Yew and Textured Christmas Green .   I started by cutting a tag from light grey card using Gummiapan's Large Old Tag die.  I stamped the deer with black archival and masked it.  I took one of the large stamps from Pines Fir Yew and stamped around the edge of the tag using Iced Spruce distress ink.  Then I repeated using Evergreen Bough distress ink. The deer was coloured with Promarkers and I used iridescent glitter glue lightly to add frosty sparkle to the pine border.  I added some green bobbly wool as a tag tie and thought it needed a little bit more so I stamped the holly sprig , coloured with Promarkers and fussy cut.   Thanks for...

Hello, Samantha here today and I'd like to share with you a bespoke Christmas decoration that is so easy... I may make a whole flock. I love sparkle all year round so of course Christmas creations have plenty of sparkle, which doesn't all show in photographs, but it is there! I began by making my base using scrap of cardboard all cut to the same size, these were 11 cms by 2 cms. I then adhered them, one on top of the other. I then covered the card board base using tissue paper, this can be any colour because it was painted. Once dry, I gave my base a coat of white gesso, then a sky blue paint. I then used PVA glue to get the crackle effect I wanted. It's easy to do. Paint a generous layer of PVA glue and whilst it is still wet paint the colour that will be crackled over the top. This needs a light touch or you just mix glue and paint. As it dries a wonderful crackle is achieved. Stamp, colour and cut out the robin and the holly, they work so well together!
