Vintage Style Christmas Cards by Angie Coomber

 Hello arty friends, how are you all? 

We really are hurtling towards Christmas, aren't we?

I have made a couple of Christmas cards this time, I'm trying to be very organised this year.

First I stamped theses lovely Poinsettias onto red and green scrapbook paper, book pages and ledger paper.

I have some lovely old ledger paper that I used for these cards, both for the background and some of the images.

I cut out the stamped images (I ended up with a good supply so that I can make more cards).

I cut some squares from the ledger paper for the backgrounds and then glued the flowers and leaves onto them.


Next I matted these onto some coloured card, glued them onto my card blanks and added some Tim Holtz Christmas Quote sticker. Now I'm off to make more!


 Please excuse the poor picture quality this time, the weather has been absolutely awful here and it's almost impossible to find some good light!

Bleu, Blanc, Rouge

Hello crafters, Craftyfield here back for another Guest Designer spot. The piece I have today is a bit different, for one I don't know what to call it: it's not a card and it is too small to say it's a journal page! Anyway, with the events of the 13th of November in mind, I wanted to highlight the colours of the French flag (the Bleu Blanc Rouge of the title), which also happen to be the colours of the Rubber Dance challenge this month. Paris has a special place in my heart and, with very little in the way of supplies, I managed to get the page to "say" what I wanted to say. Supplies: Distress inks create a French flag background. The Eiffel Tower (from the Travel set) is symbolic for Paris The word Souvenir [1] is both for Paris as a tourist destination and for the remembrance of the victims. Love This Life

Good morning and happy Wednesday. It's Sue here with my first piece of the year. Now everyone knows how much I love Christmas, but I was really happy to not make a Christmas card. My thoughts have now turned to Spring, and so I've made myself some flowers. I started by painting a wooden frame with some Colourcraft Lustre Paints. These really are lovely and dry very quickly. I've just dabbed the colours on with my blenders. Then I stencilled on some silver metallic paint through a That's Crafty  grungy harlequin stencil. I also painted/daubed a piece of chipboard with blues, greens, and pearl Lustre paints. I love these new Crazy Flowers (1)  that Melina has designed for Rubber Dance, and I've stamped and embossed them on the chipboard. I'm also a huge fan of Brusho's, so I've made a couple of backgrounds and stamped the flowers and leaves from both Crazy Flowers 1 and 2 . Now for my favourite bit, the cutting o
