Be fearless-an art journal spread with Mona Lisa stamp by Saadia Nawaz

Hi Everyone,
Saadia here, with an art journal spread. I hope you like it.


I made this in a small journal. I used acrylic paints in warm colors for my background.

Background stamping was done with Doodle borders 2 and Mix a Sentiment stamp sets.

I stamped Mona Lisa stamp and one of the hearts from I Heart Art stamp set for my focal point.


The sentiments are from Mix a Sentiment set. This is one of my favourite stamps.  It has many words on it and one can easily make different sentiments.  It can also be used as a background stamp.

CASology Challenge #213: Stitch - Card by Bibi

The cue word at the CASology challenge this week is STITCH, so without further ado - here's my card: Stamps used (all from Rubber Dance): Giraffe , Mannequin from Sew Sweet ,  X stitches from Stitch & Frame . Stamped with Archival Ink (coffee), coloured in with Distress inks (tea dye and mermaid lagoon). After all, fall/autumn is all around us (here in the north, anyway), and we do love its glorious colours! We hope you do, too, when you create an entry (or three) for our October Challenge: Did you know that "fall" is an Old English word? It replaced the word 'harvest' in the early 1600s as more people started moving into cities. City dwellers began to use the phrase 'fall of the leaf'' and, over time, the phrase was shortened to fall. Surprisingly, etymologists don’t know where the word "autumn" comes from. It was used as far back at the 1300s (by Chaucer), and Shakespeare often used the word, too. As English spread to the New World, the common season names split as well and today, American English uses the word fall while British English
