Simplicity Sunday- a set of bookmarks by Asia

Hi everyone:)

I hope you are enjoying your Sunday :) Today's posts is all about bookmarks and, of course, some of the gorgeous, recently released Rubber Dance stamps. I do hope you are still reading real books and this project will inspire you to create some bookmarks of your own. After all, the folded corners are really not so cool :)

For this project I used some cut out watercolour paper and glued  two pieces together for more sturdiness (in total I needed 4 pieces of paper); Than I added the gorgeous, snarky stamps: Fish Diet and Purr-fect- both were embossed with black EP. After drying I added colours to the page with Lindy's sprays and a brush - I wanted to keep the designs white, so thin brush was the only option. I played a lot with colour application - I mixed few of the sprays together, added few layers with drying in-between. After drying it all I decided to add some colours to the stamps and to make them more striking, I used ordinary glitter pens. At the end I stamped all those funny sentiments which comes with these stamps, added some fussy cut squares (Fish Diet stamp) and few paws (Purr-fect stamp), which were highlighted with 3D black paint. The very last touch was to run one side of the bookmark through my sewing machine and leave the threads hanging - this way it's easier to find the bookmarks in a book ;)

Very beautiful bookmarks, Asia! I will admit that I usually just fold the corners when I read, but I wouldn't if I had gorgeous bookmarks like these! I guess I better make some ... ;-) Thank you so much for sharing! ♥ ♥ ♥

I love the bits of threads hanging at the ends of the bookmarks too. I love the fun in each of them.
