Simplicity Sunday - A winged cat tag by Donna Gray

Hi everyone,

By now you all would have seen the new fab stamps that were released earlier this month and of course I couldn't resist the cat...you know me and cats by now ;)




This is a size 5 manila tag that was quickly Gelli printed to lay some colour down using acrylic paints. I stamped the paw print from the Purr-Fect stamp set with black Archival ink and then added some strips of Washi tape from my ever growing stash of them.

The gorgeous cat from Purr-Fect and the amazing wings from Dreamcatcher were stamped on Strathmore Mixed media paper and coloured in with a mixture of Zig Clean Colour pens, fussy cut out and adhered to the tag with some foam pads.

I added a sentiment from Tim Holtz snarky quotes and a little bit of twine and there you have my winged cat....isn't it just a cutie :)

CASology Challenge #213: Stitch - Card by Bibi

The cue word at the CASology challenge this week is STITCH, so without further ado - here's my card: Stamps used (all from Rubber Dance): Giraffe , Mannequin from Sew Sweet ,  X stitches from Stitch & Frame . Stamped with Archival Ink (coffee), coloured in with Distress inks (tea dye and mermaid lagoon). After all, fall/autumn is all around us (here in the north, anyway), and we do love its glorious colours! It replaced the word 'harvest' in the early 1600s as more people started moving into cities. City dwellers began to use the phrase 'fall of the leaf'' and, over time, the phrase was shortened to fall. Surprisingly, etymologists don’t know where the word "autumn" comes from.
