Hi Rubber Dance friends!!  Priss  writes you today. Welcome to a fun tutorial using the whimsical roses from the set  Doodle Flowers . First, I chose one of the tissue papers that I showed you in my last tutorial video. If you want to know how to make them go to  How to design your own tissue paper for Mixedmedia . Then I cut a piece of white cardstock and glued the chosen tissue paper on top of it and punch a small hole for the eyelet. Et Voilá! We have an easy and beautiful background ready to play over it with more layers.  Now I proceed to stamp some  Doodle Flowers  on Bristol paper and color them, first with Alcohol Markers and then I give them some lights and shadows with my favorite colored crayons. To give it a more personal look I always end up using black and white Posca markers to make my personal dots and marks. These whimsical roses will be our protagonists, but they need some friends to accompany them so they don't feel alone and ab...

Hi arty friends, how are you? I have made a quick little book mark for you today, I hope you like it. I cut out a 17cm x 5cm piece of card and covered it with a scrap of gelli print, then rounded the corners. Next I used a stamp from the Carved Collection #3 set, together with embossing ink and black embossing powder to create a regular pattern on the bookmark. I love love love this funky retro vibe. I stamped a quote  from the Flowers Gone Wild stamp set onto pink paper and glued it to the book mark, punched a hole and added some sari ribbon (I absolutely love this instead of regular ribbon). That's it! Until next time, Hugs from Angie x Stamps used: Carved Collection 3 Flowers Gone Wild

Blossoming Rose Bookmark by Dot Leathbridge

Hi everyone, During restrictions I've really enjoyed reading more and I've  decided to make another bookmark. It's a bit like accessories, one is never enough. I like them in the shape of a tag, but you could make it any shape you like really. Every time I've been out in my car this week I've seen house after house with beautiful blossoming roses in their front yards. This has been my inspiration for my bookmark. It uses the gorgeous Blooming Rose stamp with some background marks from Mixed Media Marks 2 . The base is a scrap piece of gelli print. It was in the colours from this month's mood board so it was perfect. The gorgeous rose was painted with water colours and carefully cut out. I stamped a couple of extra buds and left them white. Around the edges I cut up some patterned paper and created a border. A few splatters of paint adds to the mixed media feel of the bookmark. There is a lovely poem with the Blossoming Rose stamp too which I thought was appro...

Simplicity Sunday- a set of bookmarks by Asia

Image
Hi everyone:) I hope you are enjoying your Sunday :) Today's posts is all about bookmarks and, of course, some of the gorgeous, recently released Rubber Dance stamps. I do hope you are still reading real books and this project will inspire you to create some bookmarks of your own. After all, the folded corners are really not so cool :) For this project I used some cut out watercolour paper and glued  two pieces together for more sturdiness (in total I needed 4 pieces of paper); Than I added the gorgeous, snarky stamps: Fish Diet and Purr-fect - both were embossed with black EP. After drying I added colours to the page with Lindy's sprays and a brush - I wanted to keep the designs white, so thin brush was the only option. I played a lot with colour application - I mixed few of the sprays together, added few layers with drying in-between. After drying it all I decided to add some colours to the stamps and to make them more striking, I used ordinary glitter pens. At the end I ...
