Simplicity Sunday - Easter Card with Distress Oxides by Susanne

Hi there!

Susanne here today and I am sharing a late Easter card with a Distress Oxide background.


For this card I worked with watercolour paper. I started by stamping the Bonny Bunny stamp with Archival Ink. After that I played with the Oxides Inks and a paint brush. I created kind of a colour palette by pressing the ink pads onto my working surface. I picked the ink up with a wet brush and spread it around. I let the paint dry after each layer. To make the cute bunny pop out I coloured it with only one layer to keep it lighter than the rest of the card. (The text was made with a sticker and a die cut and means Happy Easter in German).

Altered Chipboard Butterfly + Giveaway

Bibi here today with a fun project, using the Totem Monarch Poppet chipboard from EyeConnect Crafts . I had such a blast with this and I hope what I've made will inspire you to make something similar. The difference between the chipboards from EyeConnect Crafts and others ones I've seen out there, is that they are made to connect (hence the name). There are two categories, one called Lace-Ups which you bind together using ribbons, string, lace, etcetera and another category of chipboards with smaller holes so you can connect the pieces using tiny eyelets or brads. This is what it looks like. The pieces are laser cut, and you easily remove them from the base - save that part and use it as a stencil for another project. CASology Week #202: Masculine (card by Bibi)

Hello everyone! Bibi here today to show you a card I've made for the challenge at CASology, where the theme this week is to make a masculine card. "Heeeelp!", was my first reaction when I saw what their theme was, as I think it's really difficult to make cards for men! In addition, it must of course be CAS (= Clean And Simple), so I really had to step outside of my comfort zone....., but that's the point of a good challenge, isn't it? :-) Anyway, it was a post by  DT Kristiina  (on our Scandinavian blog ) that came to my rescue! If you haven't seen her post , you really should! The text is in Swedish, but there are lots of awesome project photos that speak for themselves. Kristiina had used stamped letters as the only "images" on her cards and I was very impressed by what she made, so I took out my Alphabet Uno stamps  (same as Kristiina had used), and what do you know - they spoke to me right away!
