CASual Friday Journal Page

Hello everyone Debs here with a quick and simple journal page, using some strips of colour for the background created using a Gelli plate and stamped flowers for the feature. A really quick and easy method of creating something a bit different. It’s easily adapted for use on cards, ATCs of even your mixed media projects.

It’s a bit busy for your usual Clean and Simple makes but those that know we me will appreciate for me two layers only is a bit of an accomplishment lol. Anyway hope you like it, as I enjoyed creating it, which I hope shows.

Materials I used 
DecoArt Media Fluids (great on a Gelli Plate, and have many translucent colours)
Glitter Pens by Nuvo Tonic Studios 
Stamps I used are below.

Thank you, Debs! Looks like a fun and easy method to ad interest and colours to a page or card, using strips of Gelli prints. Not a typical CAS project, but it is casual (as opposed to formal). Have a lovely weekend! ♥ ♥ ♥

New Website AND Birthday SALE!

Hi everyone! It's Bibi here, the owner of Rubber Dance, and guess what.... Today is my birthday!! Hey??! Not only is it my birthday - I have made a brand new website for Rubber Dance! But, wait - there is more: NEW stamps, too? You bet! I made these tags with some of the new stamps ... Yes, I made birthday tags for myself ... The backgrounds on the ones to the left and right are my first attempt with the really cool nail polish in water marbling technique. (If you have no idea what I'm talking about, here's a really good tutorial with Carla Sonheim). The tag in the middle was coloured with Distress inks and misted with water, while the stamped label on top is with the nail polish technique. Mixed Media Tags by Susanne

Hi there! Susanne writing today and I'm sharing some mixed media tags today. My focal points are the beautiful Butterfly Girls . I started with a water colour background. I added a thin layer of gesso in the middle are and some background stamping for more interest. Before I added the Butterfly Girls (that are stamped on gelli printed deli paper), I added some patterned paper which was die cut with the Tim Holtz Mixed Media dies. To finish it up I added some black dripping paint and white splatters. The sentiment is printed with the computer. I framed every tag with my sewing machine.  I created similar tags a while ago, where I used the same technique. You'll find it here . Mistakes are proof that you are trying - a tag by Anita

Hello and welcome, Anita from the Design Team here today to show you step by step a tag I've made: On this tag I've used the colours from this month Colour Challenge: I began to glue down with Distress Collage Matte Medium Tim Holtz tissue wrap on my tag. I also used this medium on top of the tissue wrap t o achieve a smooth surface. This is in order for Distress crayons to blend nicely together.
