Join the Circus

Hi everyone,

Donna here today with a Circus themed card that I made especially for my niece's first Birthday.



I've included some of my process pictures for you ;)



The background was created by using Decoart paints on a Gelli plate and creating patterns by adding various items from around my craft room to add interest. You can also see the little clouds there from the Whimsical Summer set too which I used a Zig clean colour pen to colour around the edges with.



The elephant from the African Animals set was stamped onto Strathmore Mixed Media paper (which is my absolute favourite) and coloured once again with the Zig clean colour pens ( these are my favourites too).



I hand drew the Circus tent as Rubber Dance doesn't have one of those designs ;)


 Once again coloured with the Zigs', look how bright they are!




Ah of course the giraffe couldn't be left out could he, also from the African Animals stamp set.

I adhered all the fussy cut images onto the Gelli print background and added the sentiment from the Happy Birthday set, everything was then added to a 5x7 card.

The recipient was very happy with her card and I hope you all enjoyed a little trip to the Circus too!

Oh Donna, it is a very happy and so wonderful card. That little niece will love it later in her life !! You always create the most sweet stories , which I so love, and also here there could be told so many funny tales for the lucky child .Amazes by your coloring of both giraffe and elephant -and your own tent creation, is gorgeous, too. CASology Challenge #213: Stitch - Card by Bibi

The cue word at the CASology challenge this week is STITCH, so without further ado - here's my card: Stamps used (all from Rubber Dance): Giraffe , Mannequin from Sew Sweet ,  X stitches from Stitch & Frame . Stamped with Archival Ink (coffee), coloured in with Distress inks (tea dye and mermaid lagoon). Always Sparkle - Envelope Book Tutorial by Sue

Good afternoon and happy Saturday, welcome to the weekend! It's Sue here with my envelope book. Making your own books and journals is very popular at the moment, and I wanted to have a go. I also wanted to use supplies that I had already as it's just after Christmas and I'm already in 2022's craft budget. So I have quite a few of these -  Colour Craft lustre paints. Loads of these - rather posh DL pearlised envelopes. I bought a box full in a closing down sale, so have a box full less 3! And these, my favourite bright StazOn inks. So to work (well play really, I'm making it all up as I go along) I started by painting my envelopes with the paints, then added some stencilling in a contrasting colour. I've used totally different colours so that I've got a choice of colours for my toppers. I've used metallics on this one and they are really nice! For the 'in between
