Rascal Rooster Card

Hello.  Welcome.  Gail from the design team here today with some colour inspiration for the Rubber Dance challenge.  This month we are all red, white and blue with the optional theme of Frosty Winter.  I decided to forgo the theme and bring out the absolutely gorgeous Rascal Rooster.  If you aren't familiar with this stamp, you should be!!  Did I mention how gorgeous he is??

I actually thought this was going to be a tag, but he out grew it!

I stamped and embossed Rascal Rooster with black embossing powder.  Then I coloured him with Festive Berries, Stormy Sky and Fossilised Amber distress inks using my waterbrush.

For the background I masked the rooster and stamped the large and small hearts from Arty Hearty using the Festive Berries ink.  The sentiment is from Beautiful Words.  Then I masked the heart as well and stamped the large spiral from Round in Circles with the Stormy Sky ink.  I used the spiral stamp just in my fingers, rolling it onto the paper, trying to start one image where the next one ended.  It gives a softer, more blended look than if I had masked each image.

All the stamps I used and many more are available in the
Rubber Dance online shop and at selected retailers.

Did you see the news?
You can now get Rubber Dance Stamps from two new retailers in

And there's still time to join the Rubber Dance January Challenge
for a chance to win some lovely stamps.  Here's the mood board

Thanks for dropping by.  Hugz

Cool! It's been a while since I saw (or used) the Rascal Rooster. He's a beauty, isn't he? Love the spiral background and how you stamped it, it does make for a softer blend than masking. Great idea! Nice use of our challenges colours this month, too.
Thank you, sweetie! ♥
