Tutorial Tuesday - Tutorial using the Bokeh Effect by Dot

Hi, welcome to Tutorial Tuesday.
I'm sharing a tutorial using the Bokeh effect to create a simple and pretty card.

I've used the colours from our challenge this month along with the theme of circles.

Step 1:
Stamp out one of the flowers from the Antique Botanicals set to use as a mask.  It works better (more snuggly) if you cut about 2mm in from the outside of the image.

Step 2:
Using the mask that you have cut out, stamp the image a few times so that it looks like they are over-lapping.

Step 3:
Place your masks over the flowers.  Then add a die-cut circle, which acts like a mask also, into the center of the card.
I've used Shaded Lilac in the Distress Oxides (to fit in with the theme this month) to colour up the card with a sponge.  You don't need to worry about being too careful because you will be hiding any flaws with the next step ;)

Step 4:
There are many circle stencils out there but I found the mini from That's Crafty to be a handy size to work with.  I've put some white acrylic paint onto the craft sheet and dabbed some paint through the stencil in random places all over the inked area.
It looks really good when you have some circles going off the edge.

Step 5:
Keep building up the circles until you are happy with the effect.  You can use as few or as many circles as you like.  It is completely up to you.

The final step was to add the hearts and words from the 'Just A Note' set of stamps.
I wanted something simple, but there are heaps of really useful words in this set that would've worked just as well.  Oh, and to mat it up anyway that you like so that it is ready to pass onto someone.
