Technique Thursday - Use Pearl Powders with your Stamps

Hi there!

Susanne here today with a quick video tutorial sharing how I use the beautiful Butterfly Trio together with Pearl Pigment Powder from ColourCraft.



I also used some of my paper scraps on this card. I have so many laying around! I try to achieve a chalk effect for the butterflies by embossing them with white powder on black cardstock.


Unfortunately the light green shimmering Butterflies are hard to see on the photo. But you can see how it will look like in my video. Enjoy!

CASology Challenge #213: Stitch - Card by Bibi

The cue word at the CASology challenge this week is STITCH, so without further ado - here's my card: Stamps used (all from Rubber Dance): Giraffe , Mannequin from Sew Sweet ,  X stitches from Stitch & Frame . Stamped with Archival Ink (coffee), coloured in with Distress inks (tea dye and mermaid lagoon). After all, fall/autumn is all around us (here in the north, anyway), and we do love its glorious colours! We hope you do, too, when you create an entry (or three) for our October Challenge: Did you know that "fall" is an Old English word? It replaced the word 'harvest' in the early 1600s as more people started moving into cities. City dwellers began to use the phrase 'fall of the leaf'' and, over time, the phrase was shortened to fall. Surprisingly, etymologists don’t know where the word "autumn" comes from. It was used as far back at the 1300s (by Chaucer), and Shakespeare often used the word, too.
