Good afternoon and happy Tuesday.  I'm really happy to be sharing my piece with you today - it's one of those that's turned out pretty much as I had it in my head.  Obviously I'm not showing you the practice pieces that ended up in the bin - or am I.... At the moment I'm going through a bit of a black and white phase. It's hot on the heels of the kraft card phase, and C&S is still dead to me. I recently went on a doodling course (oh yes I did) because I seriously went into panic mode whenever I had to doodle. This isn't what I learned on the course, but if I hadn't taken it, I could never have made this (and what a loss that would be ;-) ) So we start with some black card and a white pen I've used a Signo Uni Ball this time, but I also love my white Posca pen. Welcome back! Happy to see you on Rubber Dance blog and hopefully you'd like what I've prepared for you today:) It's an easy page, but this is also my favourite type of art journaling. It does not always have to be complicated to look good;)  I decided to make a short video of the whole process for you  to watch step-by-step how I created this page. It was a last, undone page in my art journal and well, it was pink as it was an inside cover. To get rid of this pink colour I decided to do a small trick and glued a piece of scrapbooking paper on it. The paper is very subtle in its design and the colours were perfectly matching what I had in mind. I love brown, vintage looking pages and I had the stamps to just match it perfectly! Fossilized Fish Hi everyone, it's Dot here with a fun alcohol ink technique for you to have a go at.  It's the same technique that I used for a card last month using the Merry Magpie stamp set that you can find  here . I think that you will have a lot of fun trying this, but be warned ... you will need a good supply of alcohol blending solution. Step 1: On glossy card sprinkle a liberal amount of blending solution onto glossy card and then add a couple of colours. The ink will spread out naturally, and it will move around a bit more while drying it with a heat gun. Step 2: Into the middle of the coloured area pour a little more blending solution and add some drops of black alcohol ink!  That's right - Black! Step 3:   Start moving the ink around in the blending solution.  Be careful at this stage that some of the original colours are still visible. Step 4: While it is still wet, grab some p...

Good morning and happy Tuesday, it's Sue here with my tutorial for my very easy to make mini album. Here's the front and here's the back.   I started by cutting the pages for my album. I've used the Eileen Hull passport die as I think this is a fab size. Plenty of room for your images but not so big as to be intimidating. I've used chipboard for my covers, and a mixture of black, white, and watercolour card for the pages.   I've used canvas for the binding as this is really tough and flexible. I've inked it up with Distress Inks just using the primary colours, that way where they meet they will make new colours and not mud. I know you probably know this but it took me years of mud before I really got it!   Just look at the size of this Music  stamp, it's a real whopper!
