Stay Curious

Good morning and happy Tuesday. It's Sue here and I've been playing with one of my favourite (they're all my favourite) stamps, the awesome Curious Cat, designed for Rubber Dance by my fellow teamie Melina.

There's just something about that face that makes you want to kidnap him and take him home with you - not that I advocate cat napping that's just wrong lol.

It's really basic supplies for this one, just glossy card, Stazon, and these silicone dabbers. I gave mine a wash before the photograph :-) I do try to match the colour of the dabber with the ink I use just to make life easier, but if I can't find the correct one, any one will do!

I normally start with the light colours first, and just dab and twist it onto the card rather than pressing.

Just building up the colours and trying not to make mud where they overlap. I make the smaller circles with the top of the dabbers.

It's a really quick and simple background, but I think it's so effective and the colours are amazing on the glossy card.

Next I stamped and embossed Curious Cat using black Versafine and embossing powder. I added a frame with black and white Posca pens to really make him pop.

To finish I just cut him out and matted him onto some bright pink card, and cut around his tail with a craft knife so I could dangle his bell. The quote is a Tim Holtz Quote Chip.

You still have a couple more days to join in with our colour challenge, and then join us again on the 15th when we announce our new theme challenge which is...
Have a great week, and thanks very much for looking xx

Gorgeous card! I adore this stamp! The background is really pretty with all those vibrant colours! Love those dabbers, by the way - best I've ever used (and inexpensive, too). Nice touch with the added frame, and that red bell hanging down from her tail is so cute!
Thanks so much for sharing, Sue! ♥ ♥ ♥
