Pillow Box

Hello. Welcome.  Gail from the design team here today with a gift box using autumn colours.

I used the colours from Rubber Dance October 2015 challenge.  This month it's two years since Rubber Dance started its challenge blog and there are five of the previous colour schemes to choose from if you want to join this month's challenge

I started with a sheet of white handmade paper that had some stitching on it.  I stamped the large spiral from Round in Circles with Versamark ink.

I used Fired Brick, Mustard Seed and Frayed Burlap distress stain and sprayed with water.  The Versamark ink stamping shows up like a watermark.

I used double sided tape to stick my paper to a plastic pillow box.  This was the packing for some embossing folders.   I added some lace along one side.

I used one of the stamps from Nostalgic Couples.  The black shapes are cut using a Cheery Lynn die, Fence Rider.  The metal charms are from Korthobby.

I stamped two feathers from Textured Feathers and added the cowboy and another fence cut using Cheery Lynn Fence Rider die.

You can find all the stamps at Rubber Dance Stamps website

We would love for you to join our challenge

What a cool and pretty pillow box, Gail! Great idea to use a container for craft items and cover it up like that. I know I toss out too many of that kind ... Love how you made the background on that stitched paper. Thank you for the tutorial and fun ideas!

I have some stitched paper... Never thought of stamping on it! Love how you put the images and embellishments together for this Western inspired pillow box. And it's one of my favourite images!
Very nice gift box, Gail! Beautiful fall colors and very nice design. Wishing you a super great Sunday!
