Autumn Leaves Card

Image
You can read this post in Danish here on the Scandinavian blog Dear reader. Autumn is upon us, Susan from Design Team here, I'll show a very simple card. I have a lot of design papers I do not use that much, so it's a good opportunity to use it for this card. When I chose my stamp, I look at the papers that suits autumn colors. I love Rubber Dance leaves stamp set so they should be highlighted here on my card. I distressed the edges of my base, and glued my various pieces of papers on. Can it be simpler, and I will just say that I've bought myself a nice tool a MISTI, I would never have bought it if it had been one year ago, but it is recommended, you get a really good black image. I have used: I Love Leaves and Nostalgic Couples Stamp set Paper from Bo Bonny and Core-Kraft Distress ink: vitorian velvet and dusty concord Archival ink jet black from the pile sequins, paper lace and white cardboard I hope you will come and play in our October challe...

Pillow Box

Les innlegget på norsk (post in Norwegian)   Hello. Welcome.  Gail from the design team here today with a gift box using autumn colours.   I used the colours from Rubber Dance October 2015 challenge.  This month it's two years since Rubber Dance started its challenge blog and there are five of the previous colour schemes to choose from if you want to join this month's challenge   I started with a sheet of white handmade paper that had some stitching on it.  I stamped the large spiral from Round in Circles with Versamark ink. I used Fired Brick, Mustard Seed and Frayed Burlap distress stain and sprayed with water.  The Versamark ink stamping shows up like a watermark.   I used double sided tape to stick my paper to a plastic pillow box.  This was the packing for some embossing folders.   I added some lace along one side.    I used one of the stamps from Nostalgic Couples .  The black ...

Tag For a Man in Blue

Image
Les denne posten på dansk her (post in Danish) . Hi.  Susan from the DT here.  I wanted to make a tag for the man in my life.  He is fond of blue and so it fits the Rubber Dance challenge theme of this month! I have used stamps from Nostalgic Couples - Antique Botanicals - Stitch & Frame - ATC Backgrounds 2 First I put black acrylic paint on my craft sheet and gave my # 8 tag the first layer with my brayer, then blue and white until I was satisfied. I stamped the edges with the sewing machine stitches stamp and black archival ink.  It looked pretty good.  I embossed the tag with a texture folder from Spellbinders. The butterflies are stamped with chipped sapphire distress ink and then cut out, the same with "my" man in the photo frame. The heart is a Tim Holtz die and I have stamped my silk ribbon with Love Forever . Thank you for your visit to the blog and I wish you a very good day. Hugs, Susan

Inspiration Kraft, White & Red

Image
Craftyfield here with an inspiration piece for this month's  challenge , which has a theme of Romance and the colour scheme shown here: I can't resist photo realistic stamps so I couldn't wait to ink the  Nostalgic Couples  set from Rubber Dance. And one image wasn't enough... so how do you fit more than one image on a card? I found the solution in the form of an Accordion die (Crafters Companion). I chose to have 3 panels but you can add as many as you want! From left to right the 3 chosen images are organised in a chronological order (well sort of), young (courting), older and married, older still (retired?) but together! On the "cover" I used the quote stamp from the same set.  Each of the image has been stamped with Versamark and I applied chalks (pastel) on top in red and black. Once finished I cleaned up some of the stray powder using blue tack.. I added a heart border (Docrafts die)...
