Make Your Own Colouring Book

Hello.  Welcome.  Gail from the design team here today.  Have you seen all the colouring books for adults?  I had a thought.  I have paper, ink, stamps.  I can make my own pages to colour........

I used Textured Feathers stamps and the colours for the March 2016 challengeThis month it's two years since Rubber Dance started its challenge blog and there are five of the previous colour schemes to choose from if you want to join this month's challenge

I stamped the feather on paper

Then I used the solid feather to stamp the colour into the outlines.  Quick and easy.

I used an orange sharpie to colour the feather shafts

Here I am colouring the background and leaving the feathers white.  I stamped the small dot stamp in orange and coloured the background green.

Time to make something with these coloured pages..........

A card and a tag.  The sentiments are from Happy Birthday.  I added three metal feathers from Korthobby to the tag.

I added a vellum layer to this one and stamped the sentiment from Something Wonderful on it.  Love how it mutes but still allows all the details to show through

Here's the girl from Take the Plunge with a sentiment from Just a Note set stamped on a strip of vellum

Thanks for dropping by.  I hope I have inspired you to use your stamps to make your own pages to colour.  I would love to see what you make.  Hugz

All stamps are from Rubber Dance and can be found in the

How cool, Gail! I find it nice as well as a bit funny that coloring books for adults have become so popular. I say 'funny' because we stampers have known for decades already how nice and relaxing it can be to colour in our stamped images. I wish the colouring bookies a warm welcome in our tracks :) I do understand that it's a nice activity for those who do not stamp, but I'd rather make my own pages to colour in, as you have done here. Great idea to turn them into cards and tags afterwards.
Thanks for a reat post! ♥
