'Tis the season



Good morning, my crafty friends!

It's Majo here today and I want to say a few things first.

This is my final post as a member of this wonderful design team. It’s been an amazing two years with the owner Bibi and the talented artists from all over the countries. I’ve made new friends and learned a lot during this time.

Thanks so much for having me and also thanks so much for the generosity in providing so many awesome stamp sets. I don’t regret a minute of having been part of all this ♥

Ok now, wipe off the tears and back to business :)

 I'd like to show you an ATC I created with a beautiful image from the Retro Beach set. The christmassy sentiment is from the set Christmas Cheers & Gift Tags. The spots on the canvas are from the Funny Birthday set!

Beautiful finale card, Majo! ♥ The stamped fabric and mesh make for such an intersting background to the other elements!! I will certainly be missing your regular posts and awesome makes with my stamps. I've learned a lot from seeing your artwork during these two years! Thank you SO much for being on my team!! CASology Challenge #213: Stitch - Card by Bibi

The cue word at the CASology challenge this week is STITCH, so without further ado - here's my card: Stamps used (all from Rubber Dance): Giraffe , Mannequin from Sew Sweet ,  X stitches from Stitch & Frame . Stamped with Archival Ink (coffee), coloured in with Distress inks (tea dye and mermaid lagoon). Rubber Dance Stamp Challenge - October

After all, fall/autumn is all around us (here in the north, anyway), and we do love its glorious colours! We hope you do, too, when you create an entry (or three) for our October Challenge: Did you know that "fall" is an Old English word? It replaced the word 'harvest' in the early 1600s as more people started moving into cities. City dwellers began to use the phrase 'fall of the leaf'' and, over time, the phrase was shortened to fall. Surprisingly, etymologists don’t know where the word "autumn" comes from. It was used as far back at the 1300s (by Chaucer), and Shakespeare often used the word, too. As English spread to the New World, the common season names split as well and today, American English uses the word fall while British English
