Summer and Beach Card by Ellie Knol

Image
I played with some summer stamps; beachy ones.  The stamp sets are designed quite different, but it's fun to stamp different pictures on 3 centimeter square cards and make a picture collage. Enjoy your summer!    Rubber Dance Stamps: The Rubber Dance Webshop AHOY Retro Beach

Grungy Stuff and Christmas !? by Ellie Knol

Image
Ellie here today..  this is a style I don't do often. The star and the circle gave me an idea: creating a christmas card with non-christmas stamps. The background was created with a roll-off of a brayer with Fresco Finish paints and infusions while gelliprinting. It took me quite some time to figure out the composition and also the placement of the colored stamped images.  In the end it took six stamp sets to finish the collage of stamped images.  I especially like the look of the faux-tissue tape, and the blue of the background peeping through. .  Have a good day!  Rubber Dance Stamps: The Rubber Dance Webshop Grungy Stuff Mixed Media Marks Mixed Media Marks #2 Pick A Number Retro Beach Happy Place

Playful Grungy Art Journal page by Ellie Knol

Image
Starting with pages from an Art Journal is quite an easy way to create a quick card..  or two.  Playing in my art journals is basically daily a minute or more coloring while having coffee, or some other time playing with nothing in particular, and no pressure to finish the project.  Very basic: stamping, additional color onto fussy cut stamped images and some background stamping and white heat embossing.  I turned the journal page into a card. I hope you will try this easy technique...  See you,  Ellie Knol   Rubber Dance Stamps: The Rubber Dance Webshop Doodle flowers Mixed Media Marks Weed Love Pencil Marks #1 Retro Beach Mix A Sentiment 1 Grungy Sequins

Art Journal Page With Retro Beach by Dot Leathbridge

Hello everyone, It's Dot here today with a tutorial for you that uses stamps  mainly from the Retro Beach stamp set. There are some hidden gems in this set and I thought it might be fun to use them on an art journal page. Here is a step x step tutorial for you so that you can see how it all comes together. A quick background has been made using alcohol inks and a stencil on a gelli plate. The colours are from our Mood Board this month. Finger painting is a really fun thing to do! I used fingers and gesso to create some white areas on my background. This lovely lady is from Take The Plunge . She has been stamped onto tissue paper and some white paint has been added to her skin areas on the reverse side of the tissue paper. The same thing has been done with a couple of other images from this set. You'll see them in the close-ups further down. I made another quick alcohol ink background and stamped the sea shells onto it. The same colours from the background were used  so ...
