July Challenge Reminder


Hello crafty friends! 

 There are still 2 weeks left to join our JULY challenge here at the Rubber Dance blog.


Please check our rules before you link up.

You must use stamping, but you do not have to use stamps from Rubber Dance in order to participate. The challenge runs until July 31st.

Our randomly chosen WINNER receives a selection of beach stamps from Rubber Dance!


The DT's Pick of the Month will be an entry 
where stamps from Rubber Dance stamps have been used. 
Usually, the prize is "just" fame and glory, but we're in the christmas spirit this month so our DT pick will ALSO win a fab selection of our beach stamps! And of course a bragging badge to display on your blog's sidebar if you like (and we're sure you do!)
Winners will be announced on our blog on the 7th of August, 
so remember to check back to see if you won.

This is my inspiration for you ..... using the wonderful set *Christmas Greetings* and *Pines Fir Yew* stamped with Distress Ink in different colors.

CASology Challenge #213: Stitch - Card by Bibi

The cue word at the CASology challenge this week is STITCH, so without further ado - here's my card: Stamps used (all from Rubber Dance): Giraffe , Mannequin from Sew Sweet ,  X stitches from Stitch & Frame . Stamped with Archival Ink (coffee), coloured in with Distress inks (tea dye and mermaid lagoon). After all, fall/autumn is all around us (here in the north, anyway), and we do love its glorious colours! We hope you do, too, when you create an entry (or three) for our October Challenge: Did you know that "fall" is an Old English word? It replaced the word 'harvest' in the early 1600s as more people started moving into cities. City dwellers began to use the phrase 'fall of the leaf'' and, over time, the phrase was shortened to fall. Surprisingly, etymologists don’t know where the word "autumn" comes from. It was used as far back at the 1300s (by Chaucer), and Shakespeare often used the word, too. As English spread to the New World, the common season names split as well and today, American English uses the word fall while British English
