Quite Pinteresting?


Heeey, beloved blog readers! Do any of you use Pinterest? Let's find one another! :)

Yes, m'ladies and gents! I did it! I dusted off my ol' guitar, cut my left hand's fingernails short and dived in... only to produce a sound much like that of two cats fighting on a tin roof, but a girl gotta start somewhere, right? I used to know how to play a few songs way back in my younger days, but I have forgotten most of the chords I once knew. You'd think it was like riding a bike! Not so at all, not for me anyway. So ... I'll have to start back at square one.

The first song I want to learn how to play is Love Is All Around (not the original, but the cover version by R.E.M), because I used to know how to play that one - besides, I'll just have to re-learn only five pretty basic chords! :-)

Here's an acoustic recording from 1991. It's not top quality, but it has that "ba-bappapa-bappa-ba", sort of "interlude" that I like so much:

 Here's a promise: Some day, and I won't say when, I'll make a recording of myself playing that song and put it out on YouTube! There. I can't back down now, can I?

CASology Challenge #213: Stitch - Card by Bibi

The cue word at the CASology challenge this week is STITCH, so without further ado - here's my card: Stamps used (all from Rubber Dance): Giraffe , Mannequin from Sew Sweet ,  X stitches from Stitch & Frame . Stamped with Archival Ink (coffee), coloured in with Distress inks (tea dye and mermaid lagoon). Always Sparkle - Envelope Book Tutorial by Sue

Good afternoon and happy Saturday, welcome to the weekend! It's Sue here with my envelope book. Making your own books and journals is very popular at the moment, and I wanted to have a go. I also wanted to use supplies that I had already as it's just after Christmas and I'm already in 2022's craft budget. So I have quite a few of these -  Colour Craft lustre paints. Loads of these - rather posh DL pearlised envelopes. I bought a box full in a closing down sale, so have a box full less 3! And these, my favourite bright StazOn inks. So to work (well play really, I'm making it all up as I go along) I started by painting my envelopes with the paints, then added some stencilling in a contrasting colour. I've used totally different colours so that I've got a choice of colours for my toppers. I've used metallics on this one and they are really nice! For the 'in between
