July Challenge!

Hellooooo, stampers! Welcome to our new challenge. Good to see you here!

We've chosen a vintage colour scheme this month and the optional theme is related to this time of year: Travel & Vacation. You can interpret it any way you want! Maybe you want to scrapbook some holiday photos, make a card with a stamped scene, art journal about a trip you never took, or perhaps someone dreams of travelling to another galaxy, or simply spend their vacation at home, reading a book. It's up to you!

Please take a quick look at the rules below before you create. 


  • We'll draw an overall WINNER at random who receives an an amazing grab bag of unmounted Rubber Dance stamps worth 25 Euro (at least!)
  • The Design Team will choose our favourite entry. No prize other than fame and glory ;-) 
  • Any entries using Rubber Dance stamps will get a special mention.

Both our winners can grab badges to proudly display on their blogs. Winners will be announced on our blog on the 7th of the following month, so remember to check back to see if you won!

Our simple rules:
  • All entries need to include rubber stamping, but using stamps from Rubber Dance is not necessary.
  • You may use other colours in addition to our month's colour scheme, but our challenge colours must be the main ones.
  • Entry is via the linking tool only, to new work with a direct link to your entry post.
  • You may join our challenge with up to 10 separate entries, and combine our challenge with as many other challenges you like. Remember to add a link back to this challenge!
  • Please consider turning off word verification on your blog if you would like to receive comments from us.

    We reserve the right to remove entries that don't meet these requirements.
    We need entries from 10 people or more to draw any winners.

    Blog Hoppin' Superpowers

    Rubber Dance has gained a following of stampers that love our Sarcasm Superpowers sentiment stamps. These aren't exactly our best seller stamps (not very surprisingly), but if you love them, you'll LOVE them! And this particular group of followers certainly do - not very surprisingly at all with a group name like theirs .... namely the  Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers! (I know, right? Too darn cute!) These fine ladies have bullied me and some of my designers into a blog hop featuring our Sarcasm Superpower stamps. It didn't take much persuation, nor any bribes to speak of. Just mention  "challenge", and we'll be all over you like underfed fruitflies on a brown banana. And that's what the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers is all about - a challenge blog with new challenges every other week. Fasten your seat belts and enjoy the bumpy ride!     Tutorial Tuesday - A Mini Album by Sue

    Good morning and happy Tuesday, it's Sue here with my tutorial for my very easy to make mini album. Here's the front and here's the back.   I started by cutting the pages for my album. I've used the Eileen Hull passport die as I think this is a fab size. Plenty of room for your images but not so big as to be intimidating. I've used chipboard for my covers, and a mixture of black, white, and watercolour card for the pages.   I've used canvas for the binding as this is really tough and flexible. I've inked it up with Distress Inks just using the primary colours, that way where they meet they will make new colours and not mud. I know you probably know this but it took me years of mud before I really got it!   Just look at the size of this Music  stamp, it's a real whopper! I inked it up and laid my binding on top of it.   These were two practice pieces from a previous project. The stencilling was too intense for my card, but
