June Challenge Reminder

Hello everyone! Feeling summery? If so, there is still lots of time to enter our seaside-inspired June Colour Challenge with an amazing bundle of stamps up for grabs to a randomly selected winner and of course the honour for one person of being our DT Pick of the Month!


This month's colour scheme is:
Sunny/sand yellow, ocean green and blue.

Here's a little something I made for this month's challenge. I love a bit of postcard art and the retro bather stamp from my Take the Plunge set was perfect! In fact I used all of Bibi's brand new releases in this one make!

Because I made a postcard, I wanted it to be flat for posting so I made and used LOTS of masks for this creation. If you want to know more there's some info over on my own blog.

CASology Challenge #213: Stitch - Card by Bibi

The cue word at the CASology challenge this week is STITCH, so without further ado - here's my card: Stamps used (all from Rubber Dance): Giraffe , Mannequin from Sew Sweet ,  X stitches from Stitch & Frame . Stamped with Archival Ink (coffee), coloured in with Distress inks (tea dye and mermaid lagoon). After all, fall/autumn is all around us (here in the north, anyway), and we do love its glorious colours! We hope you do, too, when you create an entry (or three) for our October Challenge: Did you know that "fall" is an Old English word? It replaced the word 'harvest' in the early 1600s as more people started moving into cities. City dwellers began to use the phrase 'fall of the leaf'' and, over time, the phrase was shortened to fall. Surprisingly, etymologists don’t know where the word "autumn" comes from. It was used as far back at the 1300s (by Chaucer), and Shakespeare often used the word, too. As English spread to the New World, the common season names split as well and today, American English uses the word fall while British English
