Art Journaling with Shilpa

Hello Everyone, Shilpa here and I am super excited to share my first Guest Designer's post today at
the Rubber Dance blog. Always loved Bibi's artsy stamps....and it's an immense pleasure to work with them.

Today I am sharing a journal page ....'Simplicity'

It is inspired by Leonardo da Vinci's words, "Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication."
Rubber Dance has this beautiful stamp set with some of his drawings.

My step by step for these pages:

I started working in my double page journal...created collage with Prima Epiphany journaling cards and old book papers. I gave a base coat with white Gesso

Next I created circles texture with stencil and Modelling paste.

It was the time to bring colors on my pages...! I used Colour Arte Silks, Twinkling H2Os, Primanry Elements in pinks, greens and browns...created lots of layers.

I created more layers with the Rubber Dance stamps called Round in Circles and Vintage Script.
I used StazOn ink for this as it is waterproof.

I used the Art definition stamp to stamp on Vellum. This is my base....which I colored it with Colour Arte Nutmeg Twinkling H2O.

Next I stamped lady and colored her with Colour Arte colours....cut it out and adhered on the stamped vellum

Here is the left side of the page... flowers and butterflies are also stamped and colored images.

This is right side bottom corner.

Hope you like it ...let me know!
See you here again during the last week of this month...
Meanwhile, here is my blog for more mixed media inspiration projects: Neon Diary

Thanks so much for stopping by.
