Whimsical Summer

Hello everyone,
it's Dot here with a card that is quick and easy to make using the Whimsical Summer stamp set.



It was quick and easy because I used up some background card from my stash for this one.  The background and birdie were made with Distress Paints, the sun and house were play around pieces using Brushos.




How cute is this birdie!!!
I've doodled a trail of flowers from his tail just for fun.
Actually, just playing with this stamp set brings out the fun in you.
Then a doodled a border ... then I doodled some hearts.  





I couldn't resist putting some flowers on the hill either.  
And a little extra doodling for the flower stems (I couldn't resit it).

What a lovely and warm summer card, Dot! It's absolutely gorgeous! Such a fun idea to cut out those flowers and add them to the bird's tail and the ones with stems, too! Love the doodling you have added here and there. Thank you so much for sharing! ♥ ♥ ♥

CASology Challenge #213: Stitch - Card by Bibi

The cue word at the CASology challenge this week is STITCH, so without further ado - here's my card: Stamps used (all from Rubber Dance): Giraffe , Mannequin from Sew Sweet ,  X stitches from Stitch & Frame . Stamped with Archival Ink (coffee), coloured in with Distress inks (tea dye and mermaid lagoon). After all, fall/autumn is all around us (here in the north, anyway), and we do love its glorious colours! We hope you do, too, when you create an entry (or three) for our October Challenge: Did you know that "fall" is an Old English word? It replaced the word 'harvest' in the early 1600s as more people started moving into cities. City dwellers began to use the phrase 'fall of the leaf'' and, over time, the phrase was shortened to fall. Surprisingly, etymologists don’t know where the word "autumn" comes from. It was used as far back at the 1300s (by Chaucer), and Shakespeare often used the word, too. As English spread to the New World, the common season names split as well and today, American English uses the word fall while British English
