The Gift of Christmas by Samantha Read

Image
Hello, Samantha here and I'd like to share a quick and easy Christmas card, perfect for batch making if you have lots to do. I wanted to do a tutorial but I was enjoying it so much I forgot to take step by step photos so I hope my writing explains for you. My card base is 5 inches square so I mat and layered to make the card more substantial to halp make the gorgeous pink colour pop. I made the top layer using a stencil and distress inks and I stamped the cute Christmas tree from the Textured Christmas Trees stamps set on white card. I added some coordinating coloured splats, pink, turquoise and yellow always work so well together. I coloured the Christmas tree using watercolour paints. To finish I added some pink, sparkly sequins, a sentiment from Watercolour Xmas stamp set, finally using the edge of an old credit card I grounded the tree with lines of paint. Here are the stamp sets I used, just click on them to go Rubber Dance shopping, and there's lots more inspiration on Fa...

Gelli Print Christmas Card by Angie Coomber

Image
Hello arty friends,  By now you all know how much I love my gelli prints and while looking through some of them I had an idea for a Christmas card. I started by cutting away part of a DL card to create (half) a Christmas tree shape.   I chose a blue gelli print for the background on the inside part of the card.  For the tree part I chose a green gelli print. Next I stamped some baubles and a shooting star on (you've guessed it) another gelli print and cut them out. I used some of the tiny background stamps to emboss snowflakes and stars on the blue background. I glued the shooting star onto the background and used foam pads to stick the baubles onto the tree, then added a Christmas quote sticker. To finish the card I used black Distress Ink around the edges to make the colours pop, added some glitter on the baubles and shooting star, some white dots and a few gems. Hope you like it! Until next time, Hugs from Angie x Stamps used: Watercolour Xmas Textured Chris...

A Slimline Christmas by Samantha Read

Image
Hello Stampers, Samantha here today and I'd love to share with you this very easy slimline sized Christmas Card, using two sets of Rubber Dance stamps, Watercolour Xmas and Pines Fir Yew, they work so well together. Here is a close up of one of the baubles, I made it by using distress ink and whilst the ink was still wet I used just water to blend the ink out to the middle, leaving a white bit as a reflection. I added some little leaves and a tiny bow to finish. Here are the stamp sets I used: Pines Fir Yew And Watercolour Xmas  I do hope you like my card, thanks for looking! Wishing you a lovely day, Sam :) For more inspiration to can find our Facebook group right here !

Christmas in July by Samantha Read

Image
Hello, Samantha here today and I'm so excited to be sharing this Christmas creation with you, I know it's not Christmas for a while yet but I received some new Rubber Dance stamps and I just couldn't wait to play with them, Watercolour Xmas is a stamp set that had been on my list for Santa for a long time, it's a wonderful set that has lots of baubles and bauble decorations for you to mix and match and also some very elegant sentiments too. For this Christmas decoration I've combined six stamp sets, I just love how well they work together. I began with a piece of cardboard measuring 8in x 8 in, I peeled off some of the top layer in places to reveal the lumpy layer, I cut it completely at 2.5 inches and used a hole punch to add the holes as shown. Then I added a coat of white gesso. To get an idea of layout I always stamp images and move them around, this project actually began with a cat and dog together but I don't think they were ready for Christmas and they d...

Celestial Wreath by Angie Coomber

Image
Hello arty friends! I hope you're all well and enjoying the summer. Today I have a little wreath for you, using the gorgeous celestial stamp set. As I often do (because I don't enjoy colouring in much) I prepared some stamping card in the colours I wanted to use, blue, yellow, gold and silver. I used Distress Oxides for the blue & yellow, acrylic paint for the gold & silver. I added gold splatter to the yellow card and silver splatter to the blue card. I used black Archival ink to stamp images from the Celestial set, and a few stars from the Watercolour Christmas set, then cut these out. I stamped the first stamp (moon & sun together) in both colours so I could separate them and glue a blue moon to a yellow sun. I used a compass to create a wreath shape from a piece of card (I have had this card for a looong time!) and cut it out. I arranged the shapes on the wreath until I was happy with the composition, then glued everything down. I added little glittery stars and...
